This seika arrangement features leopard lily (also known as: leopard flower, blackberry lily), known in Japanese as hiōgi. 檜扇, The flower is written in kanji the same as the word for a formal cypress folding fan (檜扇), the pronunciation is also the same.

This photo was taken from a less formal perspective one day later when the flower was in full bloom.
